Why You Should Join SSAA and Keep Your SSAA Membership Current
(See instructions below to print new member and renewal applications.)

The SSAA is an organization that SSA retired persons should join and keep their membership current. Some of these benefits for doing so are:

  • A subscription to the SSAA Newsletter 'Social Times' published six times a year
  • A copy of the directory (published on an as-needed basis) containing the names, addresses, telephone numbers and email addresses (unless removed by retiree request) of all SSAA members
  • Discount travel opportunities arranged by SSAA National volunteers
  • Special event and holiday luncheons arranged by SSAA National volunteers
  • Opportunities to meet with SSA friends and former co-workers at the national annual reunion luncheon
  • Rewarding volunteer opportunities
  • A copy of the SSA OASIS when it is published

Another benefits of joining or renewing your membership in SSAA is the opportunity to become a leader of the association and help guide its future. The elected officer positions are open as well as the opportunity to become a director. Help is always needed to manage the office, to keep our records current, to arrange socials, to plan travel and to work on SSAA-SSA relations.

Perhaps the area that may be most rewarding is the opportunity to organize our membership to do volunteer work at the chapter and national level. A person with good organizing skills and a desire to help others is all that is needed.

If this sound like an organization that you want to get involved (or stay involved) with, read below how to join, or renew your membership with, SSAA. The next step would be for you to get in touch with the SSAA national acting president by telephone (410-795-3625) or email ssaanational@yahoo.com to discuss the opportunities open to you and to arrange a visit to out office at room GB255, East Low Rise, Woodlawn MD. This would also be a good opportunity to ask for a free copy of our newsletter to learn more about SSAA.
